Winter 2013/14 was a typical so called “Südalpen Winter”. That means most storms came in from the south and hit the southern part of the Alps while in the northern Alps snow was rare. So it was time to visit our neighbour Italy where I found my new favourite spot: Livigno. Livigno offers wide powder slopes and great tree runs. Fortunately most skiers don’t care about off-piste skiing here. So we could even do first tracks days after the last snowfalls.
